Paul Gauguin Cruises owns a small motu, Motu Mahana, here off the coast of Taha’a and it is a fantastic place to take in a relaxing beach day and enjoy some barbeque as the crew transports over food and drinks for the day. Just west of Oponohu Bay is the Intercontinental Moorea Resort & Spa. A garden, apiary, and the resort share 26 acres in what feels much cozier than it sounds. We really dug the vibe here – laidback, friendly, family-friendly, quality décor and service, and great food.

Another relaxing day at sea began with a scrumptious breakfast on deck outside of La Veranda. The corned beef hash became a new favorite of my wife as she said it was super yummy. We had a cool morning sea breeze and the beautiful blue ocean making our breakfast so wonderful.
